From time immemorial man has attempted to look into the future, whether based on careful objective observations of how things are and the trends noted in long series of data -- or by using somewhat less strictly scientific methods such as gazing into a crystal ball or tea leaves and noting whatever they subjectively think they see.

Our diverse group of Wizards uses a wide variety of means to attempt to figure out what different Apple - related events will occur, using some really serious prognostications based on complicated market-trend graphs, market analysis, solar activity indices

and their own formulae -- to using a pendulum, having a vision or, perhaps, just as the name of this complex analytical system states, they simply come up with a WildAssGuess, a list of which is posted at intervals on the AOL Apple Computer (AAPL) Message Board under the careful guidance of the long time resident WAG Meister, Jim.

On this page we have a list of the ongoing quarterly earnings WAGs and their respective Wizards.

Where possible I have included a countdown clock to the date and time when the real number/s will theoretically be announced.

You may pick an avatar if you so desire, they are found on the AVATAR page -- if not, I assign a randomly selected one from my stash for you -- they vary with each major quarterly earnings WAG. You can also send me one via an email attachment.

[final participation / revisions / updates must be received before 13h (GMT) 23 April 2008]

NB - IF the earnings report is issued sooner / later, the WAGs received within a -4 hour window (according to the received criterion specified above) will be considered valid -- they are listed according to the time stamp of the board message as received / saved on my iMac

The earnings report is officially scheduled to be presented at 14h, Pacific Time, on Wednesday, 23 April 2008, but it can usually be found somewhere on the WWW before the nominal posting time

NB - Earnings are however Wall Street calculates them + includes all the usual deductions and stuff

NBa - Remember that you may change your WAG until the morning of the earnings report
